Instructional Elements
A feature that makes SimQuest stand out from all other simulation software is the possibility to add Instructional Elements to your simulations. The Instructional Elements folder in the SimQuest library contains Assignments, Control elements, Explanations and various Tools.

Assignments interact with the simulation interface, and they thereby allow you, as the author, to guide the learner in exploring the domain. There are 8 different types of assignments to choose from.
Control elements can be used to control the opening and closing of elements at a certain time or at a certain state of the simulation.
Explanations can be used to help further clarify specific parts of the domain. Explanation elements may contain different forms of information, such as text, a web page, sound, a picture or even video.
Recently, various new Tools were added to the Instructional Elements folder. These include for instance the Hypothesis List and the Hypothesis Scratchpad, which allow the learners to formulate, list and verify their own hypotheses.
